Music Supervision / Black Hollywood: “They’ve Gotta Have Us”
We’ve spent a large part of the late summer supervising the music for the BBC2 docu-series ‘Black Hollywood: ‘They’ve Gotta Have Us’. A unique portrait of how art and activism for black people in film are indivisible from race and cinema. Working closely with film-maker and photographer Simon Frederick, who directed 2017 ‘Black Is The New Black’ for the BBC, we researched and sourced a wide range of music for the production, including the theme song from the supremely talented up & coming artist: Celeste. Thoroughly enjoyable!
